Note from our combined` effect;
as we got out of the taxi in Honduras, a young child 7 yrs old, whom actually served us as a young man, stated lady what did you pay, i told him + he said, lady you got screwed + he proceeded to show me the goodness of his community..
we ask you all to do the same, come share in building our network here + support La Via Campesina + Nyeleni + others that represent peasants + indigenous around the world, including you people in Honduras, so together we can build peaceful neuro networks that can than override this aggression from the past + present to stop.
we work hard to do this in US telling military it is a program of the past, our planet earth we share together, has had enough pollution from undeveloped mental acts. now is the time for us to come together + end the war mode miltary + make police become community friends as all else is ended + people are supported to become aware + restore local working harmonizing sustainable communities.
so we all become a local, global + beyond participant.
we ask you the people, the government of Honduras to come share as together we work thru these issues, share what works for each to build community that can help people build a sustainble self. as we all freely work to explore the goodness on this earth as we restore + link our genetic balanced bio-diversity of our biospheres.
locals can create investment from local tapering transitions as people rethink + support the stewards as they work these commons, for the ecological, social, political gain of all, as enviromental services become our best tools to guide for our food, our health + local soverighnty.
please review again La Via Campesinas request below as we submit to all below + ask you all to do the same.
peace is our option now if we share what works.
note we are gathering international bulk school email lists to share our project osic, as students come out of the classroom + together we do this. please submit link in subcatagory for school bulk email lists + watch for deadline for our email mailout to all. we would like to include yours.
thank you, kara j lincoln

On the International Day of Peasant Struggle, April 17th, in Honduras massive land occupations have started by peasants. More than 12 000 hectares in at least six departments that were occupied by about 3000 farm families. The avalanche of criticism against the coordinator of La Via Campesina Central America Rafael AlegrÃa were unexpected and today most media accuse our friend Rafael Alegria to invade private land, jeopardizing the domestic and foreign private investment.
La Via Campesina in solidarity with the farmers movement in Honduras, recalls that in the final declaration of the International Conference Nyeleni against land grabbing a commitment was given to "support the control by people of their natural resources through land occupations , occupations of companies and corporate investors, protests and other actions to mobilize the masses to claim their commons."
If these families have made the decision to recuperate land with all the risks involved for them, we support them so that they do not continue to live in extreme poverty and can engage in the production of food for thier survival. According to a report of CEPAL/FAO in December, 2011, 68% of the rural population in Honduras lives in poverty.
La Via Campesina calls upon its organizations and other social movements to express their solidarity with peasant families and send letters to the Government of Honduras to approve the proposed comprehensive agrarian reform law that the peasant movement has presented to Congress in October, 2011.
La Via Campesina also requests the government of Honduras to stop promoting the use of public and paramilitary forces to repress peasant families and especially to respect the physical integrity of people who struggle for land. We reject all forms of violence and the criminalization of our struggles and mobilizations in defense of our rights,
Henry Saragih
General Coordinator La Via Campesina
