The House just increased War spending to $839 BILLION!

Dear kara,

The House of Representatives just authorized an increase of the bloated Pentagon budget to $839 Billion in a 329-101 vote.

Not only does this represent a $67 Billion increase from last year, it's $37 Billion more than Biden asked for!

Let's put that in perspective. The increase in war spending is more than our entire budget to fight climate change ($44.9 Billion).

Here's how your Massachusetts Reps did on military spending:

Here's the breakdown by party, nationally:

180 Democrats, the party that has cuts in military spending in their platform, voted for this increase. Only 39 voted no.

149 Republicans voted for the increase and 62 voted no.

There's something seriously wrong with both major political parties.

We live in a rich country with crumbling infrastructure, no universal healthcare, lackluster education, climate catastrophe, and food insecurity.

This is why.
